Home Grow: Grassroots Food Gardening
This website is intended to get people excited about the latest "home grown revolution" and connect gardeners to local resources and organizations involved in food security in the Capital Region of British Columbia, though there is much information for any gardener.
There is also a great compilation of local and international videos about food security in the Audio Video Library.
If you are not growing any of your own food yet, start now! Buy a sprouter, some containers and soil, an indoor fluorescent grow light and some seeds, or dig a plot in your yard.
Form a co-operative with neighbours or join or start a community garden or food security organization. Pressure your local government into initiating or supporting food production in your area.
There are so many ways to grow food, so be part of this old new movement toward good, wholesome, carbon-friendly food!
